Frontend Engineer [REMOTE]

Overview

Cesanta develops software for embedded engineers, our core product is Mongoose Library. This is a single-file C/C++ library that contains network drivers, TCP/IP stack, TLS 1.3 stack, and core protocols like HTTP, Websocket, and MQTT.

The most common use case our customers have is to develop Web UI dashboards for embedded devices. By using our library, they can easily have an embedded web server running on their device. The problem is with developing Web UI and attaching it to the device hardware.

Our customers (embedded developers) do not have much expertise in HTTP, in frontend, in HTML / CSS. That's why we decided to develop a no-code visual tool, Mongoose Wizard, to help them creating professional Web UI dashboards in no time.

Job Mission

  • To develop the best in the world no-code Web UI constructor tool for embedded engineers

Expected Results

  • Our customers, embedded engineers, should be able to construct Web UI dashboards for their devices without prior knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS, and without resorting to documentation or explainers
  • Both Mongoose Wizard, and the output Web UI dashboards, must be pixel perfect, professionally looking and smoothly working implementations
  • The output Web UI should be tiny - 50k or less compressed
  • Fronted Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing an initial walk-through experience and publish it on the web site as a series of “getting started” steps

Required Skills

  • Outstanding knowledge of JS, CSS, React/preact
  • Terse, well structured and well commented code that others understand
  • Self-driven. We do not micromanage!
  • Ability to suggest and implement the best solution
  • High standards for work ethics
  • Good communication skills
  • Respectful to customers and colleagues
